(2) In addition to the aforementioned data, cookies are stored on your device when you use our website. Cookies cannot execute programs or transmit viruses to your computer. They serve to make the internet offering more user-friendly and effective overall.
(3) Use of cookies:
a) This website uses the following types of cookies, the scope and functionality of which are explained below:
– Transient cookies (see b)
– Persistent cookies (see c)
b) Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. These include, in particular, session cookies. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.
c) Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a predefined period, which may vary depending on the cookie. You may delete cookies at any time in your browser’s security settings.

- 4 Further Functions and Offers of Our Website
(1) In addition to the purely informational use of our website, we offer various services that you may use if interested. In doing so, you will generally need to provide additional personal data, which we use to provide the respective service and to which the aforementioned data processing principles apply.
(2) In some cases, we use external service providers to process your data. These have been carefully selected and commissioned by us, are bound by our instructions, and are regularly monitored.
(3) Furthermore, we may transfer your personal data to third parties. Further information will be provided to you when you submit your personal data.
(4) A transfer of data to countries outside the EU or the EEA only takes place if this is necessary for the execution of the contractual service, is required by law (e.g. tax reporting obligations), you have given your consent, or within the framework of data processing agreements. If service providers in third countries are used, they are additionally obliged to comply with the European level of data protection through written instructions and the conclusion of EU standard contractual clauses.
- 5 Newsletter
(1) With your consent, you may subscribe to our newsletter, through which we inform you about our current interesting offers. The products and services advertised are specified in the consent declaration.
(3) The mandatory information for sending the newsletter is only your email address. [The provision of additional, separately marked data is voluntary and is used to address you personally.] After your confirmation, we store your email address for the purpose of sending the newsletter. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.
(4) You may revoke your consent to receive the newsletter at any time and unsubscribe from the newsletter. You may declare your revocation by email to info@empureon.de or by message to the contact details provided in the legal notice.
(5) We would like to point out that we evaluate your user behavior when sending the newsletter. For this evaluation, the emails sent contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which are one-pixel image files stored on our website. For the evaluations, we link the data mentioned in § 3 and the web beacons with your email address and an individual ID. Links contained in the newsletter also include this ID. The data is collected exclusively in pseudonymized form; the IDs are therefore not linked to your other personal data, and direct personal identification is excluded.
You may object to this tracking at any time by clicking the separate link provided in each email or by informing us via another contact channel. The information is stored as long as you are subscribed to the newsletter. After unsubscribing, the data is stored purely statistically and anonymously.
- 6 Objection or Revocation Against the Processing of Your Data
(1) If you have given consent to the processing of your data, you may revoke it at any time. Such revocation affects the permissibility of processing your personal data after it has been expressed to us.
(2) Insofar as we base the processing of your personal data on a balancing of interests between your interest in anonymity and our interest in using the data transmitted by you, you may object to such processing. This is the case where processing is not required for the performance of a contract with you, which is described in each case in the following description of the functions. When exercising such an objection, we ask you to state the reasons why we should not process your personal data in the manner carried out by us. In the event of a justified objection, we will review the situation and either cease or adjust the data processing or show you our compelling legitimate grounds on the basis of which we continue the processing.

- 7 Web Analytics
Use of Google Analytics
(1) This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files stored on your computer that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the USA. In the event that IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will, however, be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area beforehand. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide further services relating to website and internet usage to the website operator.
(2) The IP address transmitted by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.
(3) You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser; however, we point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website fully. You may also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
(4) This website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()”. This means that IP addresses are further processed in shortened form, thereby excluding direct personal identification. To the extent that data collected about you can be linked to a person, this link is immediately excluded and the personal data is promptly deleted.
(5) We use Google Analytics to analyze and regularly improve the use of our website. The statistics obtained enable us to improve our offering and make it more interesting for users. In exceptional cases where personal data is transferred to the USA, Google has committed to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

Use of Piwik
(1) This website uses the web analytics service Piwik to analyze and regularly improve the use of our website. The statistics obtained enable us to improve our offering and make it more interesting for users. The legal basis for the use of Piwik is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.
(2) For this analysis, cookies (see § 3 for more details) are stored on your computer. The information collected in this way is stored exclusively on the controller’s server in [Germany]. You can disable the analysis by deleting existing cookies and preventing cookies from being stored. If you prevent the storage of cookies, you may not be able to use this website fully. Prevention is possible via your browser settings. Prevention of Piwik usage is possible by unchecking the following box and activating the opt-out plugin: [Piwik iFrame].
(3) This website uses Piwik with the extension “AnonymizeIP”. This means IP addresses are processed in shortened form; direct personal identification is excluded. The IP address transmitted by your browser via Piwik is not merged with other data collected by us.
(4) The program Piwik is an open-source project. Information from the third-party provider regarding data protection can be found at http://piwik.org/privacy/policy.
Use of Jetpack/former WordPress.com Stats
(1) This website uses the web analytics service Jetpack (formerly: WordPress.com Stats) to analyze and regularly improve the use of our website. The statistics obtained allow us to improve our offer and make it more interesting for users. Furthermore, we use the system for website security measures, e.g. detection of attacks or viruses. In exceptional cases where personal data is transferred to the USA, Automattic Inc. has committed to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

Prevention is possible via browser settings or by clicking the “unsubscribe” buttons at http://www.adobe.com/de/privacy/opt-out.html.
(3) This website uses Adobe Analytics (Omniture) with the settings “Before Geo-Lookup: Replace visitor’s last IP octet with 0” and “Obfuscate IP-Removed”, whereby your IP address is shortened by the last octet and replaced with a generic IP address that can no longer be attributed. Personal identifiability is thereby excluded.
(4) Information from the third-party provider: Adobe Systems Software Ireland Limited, Ireland, 4–6 Riverwalk, Citywest Business Campus, Dublin 24, Republic of Ireland; privacy@adobe.com; privacy policy: http://www.adobe.com/de/privacy/policy.html.
- Use of the Scalable Central Measurement System (SZM)
(1) Our website uses the measurement system (“SZMnG”) of INFOnline GmbH (https://www.infonline.de) to determine statistical metrics regarding the use of our services. The purpose of reach measurement is to determine usage intensity, the number of users of a website, and surfing behavior on a statistical basis using a standardized procedure, thereby obtaining comparable market-wide values.
For web offerings that are members of the Informationsgemeinschaft zur Feststellung der Verbreitung von Werbeträgern e. V. (IVW – http://www.ivw.eu) or participate in studies by the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Online-Forschung e. V. (AGOF – http://www.agof.de), usage statistics are regularly published by AGOF, the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Media-Analyse e. V. (agma – http://www.agma-mmc.de), and IVW and can be viewed on their respective websites.
a) Data processing
INFOnline GmbH collects and processes data in accordance with German data protection law. Technical and organizational measures ensure that individual users can never be identified. Data that may relate to an identifiable person is anonymized as early as possible.
Anonymization of the IP address
In the internet, every device requires a unique address for data transmission, the so-called IP address. Temporary storage of the IP address is technically necessary due to the functioning of the internet. IP addresses are shortened prior to any processing and processed only in anonymized form. No storage or processing of unshortened IP addresses takes place.
Geolocation up to the level of federal states/regions
So-called geolocation, i.e. the assignment of a website access to a location, is carried out exclusively on the basis of the anonymized IP address and only up to the geographic level of federal states/regions. From this information, no conclusions about a user’s specific place of residence can be drawn.
Device identification number
Reach measurement uses either a cookie with the identifier “ioam.de”, a local storage object, or an anonymous signature generated from various automatically transmitted browser information to recognize computer systems. The cookie validity is limited to a maximum of 1 year.
Login identifier
For measurement of distributed usage (use of a service across multiple devices), the user identifier may be transmitted in anonymized hashed form to INFOnline if available.
b) Deletion
Stored usage processes are deleted after no later than 7 months.
c) Objection
If you do not wish to participate in the measurement, you may object via the following link: http://optout.ioam.de. Further information on data protection in the measurement procedure can be found on the INFOnline GmbH website (https://www.infonline.de), the AGOF data protection website (http://www.agof.de/datenschutz), and the IVW data protection website (http://www.ivw.eu).
(2) We use the SZM procedure to analyze and regularly improve the use of our website. The statistics obtained enable us to improve our offering and make it more interesting for users. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.
- 8 Social Media
1. Use of social media plugins
(1) We currently use the following social media plugins: Xing, LinkedIn. We use the so-called two-click solution. This means that when you visit our site, no personal data is initially passed on to the providers of the plugins. You can recognize the plugin provider by the marking on the box by its initial letter or logo. We give you the opportunity to communicate directly with the plugin provider via the button. Only if you click the marked field and thereby activate it does the plugin provider receive the information that you have accessed the corresponding website of our online offer. In addition, the data mentioned in § 3 of this statement is transmitted. In the case of Facebook and Xing, according to the providers, the IP address is anonymized immediately after collection in Germany. By activating the plugin, personal data is transmitted to the respective provider and stored there (for US providers in the USA). Since the plugin provider uses cookies in particular, we recommend deleting all cookies in your browser settings before clicking the inactive box.
(2) We have no influence on the collected data and data processing operations, nor are we aware of the full scope of data collection, the purposes of processing, or storage periods. We also have no information regarding deletion of collected data by the plugin provider.
(3) The plugin provider stores the data collected about you as user profiles and uses them for purposes of advertising, market research, and/or demand-oriented design of its website. Such evaluation is carried out in particular (also for non-logged-in users) to display demand-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of such user profiles, whereby you must contact the respective plugin provider to exercise this right. Through the plugins, we offer you the opportunity to interact with social networks and other users so that we can improve our offer and make it more interesting for users. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.
(4) The data transfer takes place regardless of whether you have an account with the plugin provider and are logged in there. If you are logged in, the data collected about you is directly assigned to your account with the plugin provider. If you activate the button and, for example, link the page, the plugin provider also stores this information in your user account and shares it publicly with your contacts. We recommend logging out regularly after using a social network, especially before activating the button, in order to avoid assignment to your profile.
(5) Further information on purpose and scope of data collection and processing by the plugin provider and further information on your rights and settings to protect your privacy can be found in the privacy policies of these providers.

- 9 Online Advertising
Use of Google AdSense
(1) This website uses the online advertising service Google AdSense, through which advertising tailored to your interests may be displayed. We pursue the interest of displaying advertising that may be of interest to you in order to make our website more attractive. For this purpose, statistical information about you is collected and processed by our advertising partners. These advertisements are identifiable by the label “Google Ads” in the respective ad.
(2) By visiting our website, Google receives the information that you have accessed our website. For this purpose, Google uses a web beacon to place a cookie on your device. The data mentioned in § 3 of this statement is transmitted. We have no influence on the collected data, nor are we aware of the full scope of data collection and storage duration. Your data is transferred to the USA and evaluated there. If you are logged into your Google account, your data may be directly assigned to it. If you do not wish this assignment, you must log out. It is possible that this data may be passed on to Google contract partners, third parties and authorities. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. We note that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this service.
(4) Further information on purpose and scope of data processing and your rights can be found at: Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California 94043, USA; http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/technologies/ads. Use of Google AdWords Conversion
(1) We use Google AdWords to draw attention to our attractive offers on external websites through advertising media (so-called Google AdWords). We can determine the success of individual advertising measures in relation to campaign data. We pursue the interest of displaying advertising relevant to users and ensuring fair advertising cost allocation.
(2) These advertising materials are delivered by Google via so-called “ad servers”. For this purpose, we use ad server cookies, which measure certain parameters such as ad impressions or clicks. If you access our website via a Google ad, a cookie is stored on your device. These cookies generally expire after 30 days and are not intended to identify you personally. The cookie typically stores the unique cookie ID, number of ad impressions, last impression (relevant for post-view conversions), and opt-out information.
(3) These cookies allow Google to recognize your browser. If a user visits certain pages of a Google AdWords customer website and the cookie has not expired, Google and the customer can recognize that the user clicked the ad and was redirected. Each AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot be tracked across AdWords customer websites. We do not collect or process personal data in these advertising measures. We only receive statistical evaluations from Google.
(4) Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with Google’s server. We have no influence on the scope or further use of data collected by Google and inform you accordingly: Google receives information that you have visited our website or clicked an ad. If you are registered with Google, Google may assign the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered or logged in, it is possible that your IP address may be collected and stored.
(5) You may prevent participation in this tracking in several ways: a) browser settings (especially blocking third-party cookies); b) blocking cookies from “www.googleadservices.com”; c) disabling interest-based ads via About Ads http://www.aboutads.info/choices; d) permanent opt-out via browser plugin http://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin.
(6) Legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Further information: http://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy and https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html. Alternatively, visit the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) at http://www.networkadvertising.org. Google has joined the EU-US Privacy Shield.
Remarketing
In addition to AdWords Conversion, we use Google Remarketing. This is a process enabling us to re-engage users. After visiting our website, advertisements may be displayed to you during further internet use. This is done via cookies stored in your browser, through which Google records and evaluates your usage behavior across websites. Google can thereby determine your previous visit to our website. According to Google, no merging of remarketing data with personal data takes place; pseudonymization is used.
DoubleClick by Google
(1) This website also uses the online marketing tool DoubleClick by Google. DoubleClick uses cookies to serve relevant ads, improve campaign performance reporting, or prevent repeated ad display. Google records via a cookie ID which ads are shown in which browser. Conversions may also be recorded, e.g. when a user later visits the advertiser’s website and makes a purchase. According to Google, DoubleClick cookies do not contain personal information.
(2) Due to marketing tools, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with Google’s server. We have no influence on data collection by Google. Google receives information that you have visited our website or clicked an ad. If you are registered with Google, the visit may be assigned to your account. Even without registration, your IP address may be collected.
(3) You may prevent tracking by: a) browser settings blocking third-party cookies; b) blocking cookies from “www.googleadservices.com”; c) disabling interest-based ads via About Ads http://www.aboutads.info/choices; d) permanent opt-out via http://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin.
(4) Legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Further information: https://www.google.de/doubleclick, http://support.google.com/adsense/answer/2839090, https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy. Google has joined the EU-US Privacy Shield.
